'Precision GPS Free' utilizes your device's GPS sensor for more accurate location tracking compared to standard GPS applications. This app transforms your phone or tablet into a precise GPS tool.

• Ordinarily, the software on your Android device locates your position based on individual GPS readings, accurate within approximately 10 meters. However, through averaging multiple readings at a specific location, better accuracy can be achieved.
• This app has been specifically designed to conduct this averaging process, creating a weighted average by considering the accuracy of each reading. The trade-off here is time; obtaining a highly accurate average location may require waiting a few minutes.
• 'Precision GPS Free' presents the following details on its main screen:
  • 'start/stop' button
  • 'reset' button
  • Battery power level percentage
  • Current latitude and longitude
  • Round number
  • Elapsed time
  • Number of GPS satellites in view
  • Number of GPS satellites used for positioning
  • Signal-to-noise ratio of each satellite’s signal
  • Accuracy of current readings
  • Weighted average (mean) latitude and longitude
  • Graph illustrating current latitude and longitude (white points) and average value (red dot)
  • Bounding 'scale box' (green) around mean position with 2 meters width and height
• The reset button is inactive during reading collection but can be used after pressing the 'stop' button. If measurements are stopped and resumed without resetting, only the 'elapsed time' value resets.
• The latitude and longitude coordinates are displayed on the graph, oriented with North at the top and East to the right. The graph readjusts automatically to reflect extreme longitude and latitude values every four seconds.
• If no satellite connection is established within 30 seconds, the app will time out. A 'settings' screen allows for keeping the display continuously active while the app runs.
• Language support includes French, German, and Spanish. No personal information, location, or images are saved or shared by this app; permissions granted relate solely to GPS functionality and advertisements.
• Usage scenarios for 'Precision GPS Free' encompass navigation, geocaching, emergency situations, property assessment, observational astronomy, and archaeological expeditions.

A premium variant of this app is available under the name 'Precision GPS Pro,' offering additional features such as elevation data, HDOP, PDOP, VDOP values, location saving options (with clipboard copy), adjustable reading intervals, UTM coordinates display, live satellite position sky map, background operation mode, coordinate format customization, and direct sending of average coordinates to mapping tools like 'Google Maps'. The pro version also eliminates ads.
